It has been over nine years since the Dominion surrendered to the Alliance and ended two years of unrelenting warfare. But the most devastating conflict in Federation history does not fade from memory so quickly. The scars left behind from the conflict are still evident on planets and people throughout the Alpha Quadrant. Starfleet has not yet been restored to its pre-war strength, and it has only recently begun to focus once more on exploration and discovery.
The USS Dragonstar is assigned to a still-turbulent region of space, as part of Starfleet's Beta Quadrant Border Patrol Division. Based at Starbase 12, she's the flagship of Task Force 17, charged with keeping a watchful eye on the Federation's neighbors in Beta Quadrant. It has been a few short years since Shinzon's attempted coup left the Romulan Star Empire in chaos, with multiple factions vying for control of Romulus. Things are quieting down in the region, but rogue warships of the Imperial Navy still periodically test the watchfulness of their neighbors, looking for weaknesses. It's up to the crew of the Dragonstar to ensure that they don't find any, while at the same time turning their attention back to exploration.

A major update has been completed to the Crew Manifest and numerous bios. Firstly, bios have been added for Eibhlin Dempsey, Khrystal Ahn'Sorata, and Tannim Kole. Secondly, bio updates have been completed for Paul Reilly, Toroca, Rubik, Jonathan Hensley, and Serena Wavern. The main Crew Manifest and all departmental manifests have been updated to reflect these changes. Further, on the departmental manifests, player-controlled characters are now distinguished from non-player characters by bright green text.

Slight updates to the Crew Manifest have been made, to reflect the addition of a new player and a new secondary character for an existing player. More updates are expected along these lines in the near future, as there are bios and bio updates to be added, and I'll finally have to get around to adding a manifest for the Special Services department. Also, we have an additional secondary character coming soon, and we also have an additional new player coming soon! I haven't spoken to the latter personally yet, she was recruited by one of our existing members; this is why I haven't added her character name or info to the Manifest yet. In related news, posting has officially begun upon the newly-relaunched Dragonstar! We're up to 13 members thus far, and things are looking good for the future.

The Crew Manifest has been updated. Several characters have been removed or changed to NPCs since their players are no longer members. As well, all of the individual Department Manifests have been updated to correctly reflect the current status of those departments. Anyone wishing to join the Dragonstar at this time should view the topic posted in the forums at Simphoni.net. Additionally, the site credits and legal information has been updated, and I am in the process of removing the " right-click copyright scripting" from the rest of the site. It doesn't work on half the browsers out there anyway, and it probably just annoys people.

After over a year of inactivity, the Dragonstar's crew is gearing up for a relaunch! Many old hands are returning to the game, and we're looking for some new recruits as well! More info on that will be forthcoming. In the meantime, updates to the website have begun, starting with this page. The setting information has been rewritten, and new theme music has been added. Keep an eye on this space for more news in the coming days and weeks!
