Personality: Nathan is a typical pilot in almost all regardless. At times he can be quick to anger and lacks certain disciplines. This mentality has given him the reputation of being somewhat reckless and even worse yet a bit of a daredevil. Quick to volunteer for any new assignment which might bring him the promise of danger and the irresistible love of adrenaline. Nathan has a quick wit and is very charismatic and loves all of life. His rash mentality is tempered by his fierce loyalty to his ship and captain.

Appearance: Nathan is of a muscular thin build, with broad shoulders and strong legs. His skin has been tanned by the many years spent riding in the open of Nevada and New Mexico. His heritage hails from central United States and because of this his facial and structure and skin is that of anglo saxon. His hair is a dark black with some small flecks of brown appearing in certain spots. He prefers to have his hair long but not to the point where he has to tie it back.

Physical Health: Physical health is at its peak with Nathan. He has spent long hours working hard on his father's ranch in Nevada and the result of this is a very fit physique and strong arms and legs. Nathan's biggest strength lies in his speed as he has been clocked on the 100 meter dash at an amazing 9.86 seconds.

Mental Health: In good mental health.

Emotional Health: A bit restless at times and often bored but spends off time in holodeck riding.

Important Events in his Life:
Born in 2351 in Farrisburg, Nevada. Nathan spent most of his young life on his father's horse ranch. It seems almost as if Nathan learned to ride as early as he was able to walk. His father took great pride in his son as he one day hoped he would join him in working on his family's long-time ranch. However at the early age of 13 Nathan was struck with a terrible tragedy as his mother died from a untreatable heart condition. With the loss of his mother growing in his mind young Nathan started to become more and more reclusive from his father. With the relationship with his father straining Nathan began to take a more vested interest in piloting. Speed had always been one of his passions but when his mother passed away this passion soon began to become an obsession. When he wasn't riding or flying, Nathan could be seen running along the desert at tremendous speed. This lead to his nickname all throughout adolescence and then eventually adulthood of Wind Runner.

When he was old enough Nathan entered the Academy. It was his thought that the only place he could really make a name for himself flying would be with Starfleet. His father was less than happy with this decision but to Nathan it didn't matter. He stormed through the flight training courses at the Academy and soon developed a name for himself especially on the Mars to Jupiter run when he broke the current speed record held for nearly five years.

At his graduation Nathan was amazed when his long-estranged father sat proudly with his younger sister as they watched him enter Starfleet. After graduation he was assigned to the USS Melbourne where he quickly gained himself a reputation of being a bit of loose cannon at times.

Friends:
A few friends from the academy and from the Melbourne. However he still keeps in touch with his long time friend Anthony Edwards who now works for Starfleet in the engineering corp.

Likes:
Flying, Racing, Horseback Riding, Running, Hiking, Mountain Climbing, and one of his favorite pastimes is racing his refitted motorcycle along the dry lakes back home.

Dislikes:
Excuses, Boredom, and most of all arrogance of those who think more than him.

Goals for Life: To break the warp barrier and surpass warp ten.
