Personality: The main word that comes to mind when someone mentions Patricia's name is "outgoing," though that is not always true of her. She grew up in an Italian family, and inherited that traditional stubborn streak and a way of arguing in which she sulks for days afterwards. She doesn't like to argue, however, and avoids it at almost any cost. In most aspects of her life, Patricia is known to be the leader of the group, bold and daring, though after Connor's passing her daring attitude has become a bit diluted. Her friends often describe her as vibrant, and the sort of person you are glad to know. If you get on her bad side, though, she can hold a grudge for a very long period of time. She's been known to be a practical joker, though if you ever accused her of such she'd be sure to deny it.

She can often accidentally alienate others unintentionally, due to her vibrant personality, which some people find overpowering. She has been trying to rein it in lately, with a moderate amount of success. Some people think she can be bossy, though she tries not to be, because she herself dislikes those who are bossy.

Patricia doesn't trust as easily as she used to, and so it's harder for her to make friends than it used to be. She enjoys being around people, however, and is very open to being anyone and everyone's friend. She like to talk to people, especially people she really cares about. She cares a lot about family, and often brings them into discussions because they are an important part of her life. She does like peace and quiet on occasion though; sometimes she just finds it very hard to be as positive and optimistic and she feels she should be.

Appearance: Patricia has long black hair that she pins up when she's on duty. She's tall for an Italian, and has blue eyes, unlike anyone else in her family. She doesn't like to admit to the fact that she can be striking when she gives an effort, despite the fact that it's obvious to most of her colleagues. Her eyes have an almost ghostly feel, and her friends have mentioned their emptiness since Connor's death, though she denies it. She's lost weight in the past few months, but has always been very slim and muscular.

She has a scar above her eye where she ran into a sharp piece of metal as a child and sliced her head open. At the time, her parents were living in the Outback and on shore leave, so there wasn't much they could do to keep it from scarring with what they had. She also has a small shoulder injury that can affect her accuracy with a weapon that she received from a fall she took while at the Academy that broke her arm.

Physical Health: Patricia is in very good shape, and exercises often. Being a medical officer, she has a strong immune system and an eye when she has a cold coming on. She really enjoys the archaic sport of tennis, and plays it in the holodeck as much as she possibly can. She has been running since she was a teenager, and finds it to be a good way to relax. This is the reason she tries to run three to four miles a day if possible.

Mental Health: Patricia is mentally very sharp, and has no problems.

Emotional Health: Patricia's emotional health is by no means bad, and has been steadily improving since the death of her husband, though she is not fully recovered from the incident. She has been known to have to excuse herself from the room on multiple occasions when she finds herself speaking of him, but lately her self control has improved drastically. Her emotions can sometimes get the best of her, though those times have become few and far between as her self-control has improved.

Important Events in her Life:
Patricia grew up in a large family that included a brother, two sisters, and her parents. From a young age she and her siblings were making all kinds of trouble aboard the USS Stovall, where both of their parents were stationed. Patricia and her older sister Rain watched over their two younger siblings, Bodewhin and Jonathan James. As they grew up, Rain and Patricia slowly drifted towards sickbay, finding themselves mesmerized there for hours at a time, leaving Bodewhin and Jonathan James to their own devices. By the time Patricia was ten, she was allowed to help around in sickbay when things weren't busy, as her older sister had been doing for a year and a half. She'd began to learn how to keep a sickbay, slowly but surely. For two years she worked with the medical technicians and her sister, learning the names of the instruments and some of the procedures.

When Patricia turned twelve, her mother was transferred to the USS Caesar. Bodewhin and Patricia were to go with her, while Rain, Jonathan James, and their father stayed aboard the USS Stovall. Over the next four years, Patricia slowly began to come into her own both as a person and in the medical field, helping out wherever she could. She started to develop an extreme fondness for practical jokes after meeting another girl aboard the ship, Susanna Farlan, whose mother was the Chief Medical Officer. They constantly played jokes on the crew, for any reason they could come up with. Around her sixteenth birthday, her father finally obtained a transfer to the USS Caesar, making the family whole once again.

At the age of seventeen she took the entrance exam to the Academy, on the same day as Susanna. They were both accepted, and a large going away party was held for them on the USS Caesar. When she arrived at the Academy, she was a bit shell-shocked by how different everything was. Having grown up on a starship, it was a lot to get used to in a short amount of time. Susanna was taking enginerring courses, while Patricia worked at medical, so they only saw each other at the end of each day. Patricia met a fellow medical cadet in an introductory course, Lily Chao, who set her up on a blind date with a friend of hers.

That friend turned out to be Connor McKay. They hit it off immediately, and began dating steadily afterwards. They often went places in with Susanna and Jonathan James, who had moved to Earth to pursue music, and had known Susanna for some time. Patricia spent the next three years striving to achieve some of the higher grades in her classes, while still enjoying several trips back to the USS Caesar to visit her parents. In her final year at the Academy, she and Connor were married. Her sister Bodewhin also began training as a security officer.

Near the end of the year, she and Connor were working with a normally harmless virus, subjecting it to a variety of tests in a closed laboratory. Patricia took a brief break from work, and when she returned, emergency medical staff had arrived and denied her entry. She became hysterical, and the next thing she can remember is sitting with quarantine glass between them as he died in sickbay. The doctors tried what they could, but they couldn't pinpoint what had triggered the mutation of the virus, and therefore, were unable to help him. She buried him where he was born, in England, on his family's land.

Patricia was completely devastated, but managed to finish her final coursework for the year. She cut herself off from almost everyone, sitting alone in her apartment. Susanna eventually began to convince Patricia to leave her rooms, and shortly afterwards she was assigned to the USS Dragonstar, where she replaced the former ACMO, a Trill.

There she was under the Commodore's wife, Elly Cook. She enjoyed the ship's facilities and its crew, both of which she felt she fit in with. She spent quite a while there before the USS Dragonstar was almost destroyed due to a flaw in the design of the Prometheus class. Following that nearly fatal experience, she took some time off to rest at home in Italy before returning to the newly refitted USS Dragonstar.

Friends:
Most of Patricia's friends are from her Academy days. Her best friend Susanna Farlan, who is currently working on Earth in an effort to stay near her fiancé - and Patricia's brother - Jonathan James. Her friend Lily Chao is posted on Starbase 43, and her sister's husband Jack, who was a dear friend of Connor's is a technician on Starbase 354.

Goals for Life: Patricia's number one goal in life is to do her best at her work and eventually advance to the rank of Chief Medical Officer on a large ship. She hopes to one day be able to get married again, and possibly have a family. She wants to be able to prove herself at everything she does, and just generally succeed and be happy, helping to further Starfleet's goals as best as she possibly can.
