Personality: Adrian Melviss is a very laid back individual who is usually pretty happy with what life deals his way. He reasons that he has been lucky in the past and that there is very little reason to expect that he should not go on being lucky. He does believe however that a great deal of his good fortune is due to his preparedness and ability to use a little initiative and good sense.

He has an infectious laugh and while not a party animal, does enjoy socializing with others. His sense of humor is enjoyed throughout the ship and he even occasionally does 'stand up' comedy routines.

Adrian feels he is maturing a little in recent times and may not stay in Starfleet too much longer, he's been a researcher for a fair while now and would like to spend more time with his wife on Earth or preferably a colony somewhere.

Appearance: While not a hugely handsome man, Adrian Melviss is far from ugly. He is fit and relatively strong. He is starting to bald a bit which concerns him a little but he's decided that if it gets too bad he will just shave his head. He knows it will shock people a bit but they would get used to it and he would look even more like a scientist then.

Physical Health: Melviss is not particularly fit. He can run around the ship if he has to and plays a few of the sports on board but doesn't put a lot of his time into fitness or anything.

Mental and Emotional Health: Very stable and Melviss knows it, he has a degree in Psychology.

Important Events in her Life:
Adrian Melviss was the result of an affair between his mother and father while on a 'dig' on the planet of Tal 90. It was unplanned and while his father acknowledged that Adrian was his son his mother and father never got married. Both of his parents were archeologists and was raised largely by his mother. Adrian could go years without seeing his father.

Despite that disappointment, Adrian had a happy life and enjoyed the scientific work his mother did. He assisted her on all of her digs and studied on padds while travelling. When he turned 20 he left the nest so to speak and started formal education at the Vulcan Science Academy. He was a good student, majoring in archeology. When he was in his final year he received word that his mother had died, suffering from a stroke which hadn't been picked up in a medical exam. Adrian finished his degree later that year but didn't really have anything more that he wanted to do with his mother gone so he enrolled in more courses.

He studied for the next six years on Vulcan working several jobs while taking solace in learning. One of his jobs was as a part time butler to an Earth businessman named Alesandro Cirrissi. On one trip, Mr. Cirrissi brought his daughter Eliza with him and they became good friends. She respected his knowledge greatly but goaded him that it was 'knowledge for knowledge's sake' and that he should help people with it. They eventually fell in love and she agreed to marry him only if he did something with his knowledge. After their honeymoon on Risa, Adrian joined Starfleet.
