Personality: Kurn has come to terms with his duality as his mother was very supportive of his Klingon heritage, taking the best of both the Human and Klingon traits. He does have the explosive Klingon anger and, he can be a bit taciturn at times, and sometimes even friendly. He has a strong sense of duty and honor, sometimes seeing everything as black and white.

Appearance: Standing at 6' 2, having a large frame and heavily muscled, Kurn strikes an imposing figure. He has naturally tanned skin, pronounced brow ridges (though not as pronounced as a full Klingon) and long dark hair, pulled back into a single ponytail. He has a goatee and no scars or birthmarks.

Physical Health: Kurn is at peak physical health. He is extremely strong and posesses Klingon constitution and stamina, and Human dexterity and grace.

Mental Health: Kurn's mental health is excellent. He has come to terms with his dual heritage and does not have bouts of insecurity or doubt about himself as some other Half-Klingons do. He does have a problem with others calling him 'half-breed' or other disparraging remarks about his heritage or species. As a result, he may have bouts of extreme anger and enter a frenzy, possibly harming the person who made the comment.

Emotional Health: Emotionally, Kurn is as strong as any other being can be. He does not suffer from the emotional bouts of doubt or insecurity that other Half-Klingons posess. He does have a penchant for explosive anger that is typical for Klingons.

Important Events in his Life
Kurn was born on July 27, 2353. Kurn went to many different schools during his childhood, following his mother on her diplomatic missions with the Starfleet Diplomatic Corps. Kurn's mother, Halla, was on Q'onos when she first met his father, Charg. He was a promising Lieutenant in the KDF, she was a Lt. Commander. With her fiery temper and no-nonsense attitude, she captured his eye and eventually his heart. While she was pregnant with Kurn, Charg was posted to the battlecruiser K'emolok. The battlecruiser was lost with all hands in a battle, (actually an ambush) where two Romulan birds-of-prey purposely attacked the K'emolok while on patrol duty with it's shields down. The K'emolok managed to destroy one Romulan ship, and damaged the second heavily, but was itself destroyed.

Eventually Kurn was born when Halla was stationed back at Earth. Kurn went to Elementary and the first few years of High School on Earth, but went to the Klingon equivalent of Middle school and the last few years of High School on Q'onos. Halla had decided that Kurn was going to learn about his Klingon heritage and lineage and he stayed with his uncle and his family while on Q'onos, when Halla was stationed at other locations other than the Klingon homeworld.

As expected, Kurn learned everything a Klingon youth was supposed to learn and he then was chosen, with honor, to attend the KDF Academy. He stayed for three years, learning what a Klingon officer was to know, but he felt that he had reached the pinacle of Klingon knowledge in the KDF Academy and formally transfered to Starfeet Academy as a Sophomore.

He went about his studies and specialized in Security/Tactical, and Eventually decided to dual major in both Security/Tactical and Conn. There was one incident in the Academy where Kurn, at that time a Senior, had severely hurt another cadet when that cadet was calling Kurn names such as 'half-breed' and 'ridge-head'. Kurn had lost control and, with his knowledge of Mok'bara, had broken the cadet's wrist, elbow, shoulder, and back with one throw.

Friends:
Kurn has several friends in the KDF, from his stint in the KDF Academy that are now officers. He is currently trying to make some aboard the Dragonstar.

Likes:
Kurn enjoys all forms of combat, hand-to-hand, melee (especially with the Bat'leth and the Mek'leth), and phaser combat. He also enjoys music and theatre (either Klingon or Human), doing calisthenics on a special holodeck program for beings that are more fit than a standard human, rock climbing and sparring and likes drinking tea. (Earl gray only please, with a bit of sugar.)

Dislikes:
He dislikes dishonorable people, liars and murderers. He also does not like things that are too sweet, and is allergic to cats.

Goals for his life:
Kurn's short-term goal is to make the best of his post, doing his best for his CO, Commodore Toroca and his ship, his crew and his friends. His long-term goal is to one day command a starship, preferably a warship!
