Personality: Darion is a loner. Due to a percieved failure on his part which resulted in the loss of a quarter of his platoon and half of the civilians he was protecting, he has become exceedingly introverted. He is very polite when he engages in conversation, and he's very capable of social interaction. But due to the aforementioned loss and his time displacement, he doesn't wish to get close to anyone, fearing that they, too, will be taken from him.

He is extremely disciplined, and has a very strong will. Both have served him well in his struggle to acclimate to the current century. He is not very skilled in most modern technology, having tried to learn 300 years of advancement in a mere 2 years. He is, however, very skilled in the use of all forms of weapons (Including most ancient weapons such as firearms, plastique, etc), especially modern demolitions. He spends almost ALL his free time practicing with them, or studying tech manuals to increase his limited knowledge of modern technology.

Appearance: Darion stands tall, his posture almost always ramrod straight. He very rarely relaxes, and he almost never does it in the presence of others. He carries himself as a 21st century Marine, cool, confident, and sure of himself. However, he does have the ability to blend into the woodwork, so to speak, when he wishes to be unseen.

Physical Health: Darion is in excellent physical health. He's in exceptional shape and has a particularly strong immune system. He's been injured as a Marine, but the wounds healed fully (though he still retains the scars, having refused offers to have them removed). The injuries (and matching scars) consisted of a bullet wound to the left, upper thigh (entry and exit wound) and shrapnel wounds to the right side of his back (both lower and upper).

Mental Health: Darion is in good mental health.

Emotional Health: While Darion is mentally stable, he does have several emotional issues. One is the loss of his platoon and the civilians. Another is the loss of all his family and friends, due to his long cryogenic sleep. While fully able to function, these problems have seriously stunted his personality.

After 1 year's service he participated in the Marines OCS, graduating as a 2nd Lieutenant (In 2049).
Wounded in the Battle of Lavelle, recieved Purple Heart and Silver Star for Valor (In 2051).
Recieved posting as Commander of the Marine Detachment at the Embassy of Budapest. He was promoted to 1st Lieutenant when he was transferred (In 2051).

Important Events in his Life:
Born March 23rd, 2032 in San Jose, California. USA, Earth.

Graduated high school at 16 in 2048. Joined the UN Marines the same year. After a year's service he went to OCS and graduated a 2nd Lt. Transferred to a Marine Line Company, he fought in several major engagements of WWIII until he was wounded in 2051.

He was transfered to the Budapest Embassy as commander of the Marine detachment after recovering from injuries (In 2051). He was also promoted to 1st Lt.

In 2052 the city of Budapest was attacked by German Paratroopers, with the express intent of destroying the US Embassy. Darion was in charge of the detail which attempted to evacuate the civilian personel. However, his detachment and the civilians were betrayed and ambushed. 50% of the Marines and 25% of the civilians where slain, including Darion's fiancee, Katrina.

Darion was cleared of any fault in the ambush of his men and the civilians under his care. However, eaten by guilt over his percieved failure he joined the UN Space Marines and requested a slot on a cryoship carring a defence garrison for one of Earth's first colonies outside the Solar System. He was accepted and completed training in 2052, when his cryo ship launched on an 8 year journey to a nearby star.

In 2056 his cryo ship was hit by a meteorite. 25% of the cryo pods where destroyed in the strike. The remaining nuclear power plant put all power to its remaining cryo pods.

In 2371 Darion's cryo ship was found adrift with minimal power remaining. All the other pods had been destroyed, either from micro-meteorite impacts or due to power loss as the nuclear power plant began to fail. Darion was the only survivor.

From 2371 to 2373 Darion struggled to gain a modern education. He managed to gain the minimum requirements to join Starfleet Academy and did so in 2373.

Darion graduated from Starfleet Academy in early 2377. He then went to Special Operations school and graduated with high marks. While weak in his grasp of most modern technology, he has mastered the use of almost all modern weapons, from heavy infantry weapons to standard shipboard armaments. He excelled in the use of demolitions. After his graduation he was assigned to the USS Octavian, which was destroyed soon after, in September of 2377. He was transferred with many of the crew to the USS Dragonstar, which was launched in January of 2378. The Dragonstar is where he currently serves.
